I'd hear it on oldies stations, but I thought it was Elvis singing it. I don't know who that Bopper guy is.

You don't know who that "Bopper" guy is????

I got the impression that you were in your 40's or later??....

That guy is old time stuff, way before my generation, but I don't know how you could make it through popular culture without hear/seeing some kind of reference to the big Bopper.

He's one of the guys that was involved in that plane crash that killed Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and himself, they all died... you know that old saying "the day the music died" that was about them.
