Hate to burst any bubbles here, but while Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Burt Reynolds, Tom Selleck, and Harrison Ford were considered hot, so were Warren Beatty, Jim Morrison, David Cassidy, and John Travolta. Not exactly sunburned Marlboro Men there, so we can do without the slam on "metros."

Now, of course, we'll be hearing about the sexual revolution and the feminization of men, and how men were men before the 1960s, at which point I will remind the easily threatened that Rudolph Valentino was probably the original "metro." Also, for the uninformed, Rock Hudson was gay and Errol Flynn was bisexual, so we can do without the homophobia, too.

And then there was Elvis. Can't get much prettier than that.
I don't know who's bubble is getting burst???

I also don't know where "homophobia" is coming from... unless I missed some posts

I have never found Brad Pitt hot but do find George Clooney hot. Yes like mentioned in the 70's there were a lot of more hairy men more attractive but they didn't look like the guys in the OP's post. In the 80's a lot of feminine men were attractive (look at many of the New Wave bands from the day).

I predict Aliens will be what women are into, and human men will be whining because they can't have similar features than what Aliens have.

And women will be telling the men to suck it up, as usual.

I think people also need to differentiate between what's "hot" in ads for clothing, perfumes, etc. and what people actually find "hot."

No. That was never considered sexy or hot. Sorry.

Beauty, male or female, has a lot to do with both symmetry of features and the appearance of health, and that chap has neither.

Why is this so important to you? Do you look like that fellow?

Who is that guy? I see men like him all the time and don't know anyone who finds him "hot". That's not to say he couldn't find a woman, he could but he won't have women swooning over him.

I keep wondering why he's throwing that in everyone's face too. I'm sure that man is special to someone though.
