I hope you enjoy being single because if a guy asks me out then expects me to pay for my ticket that is the end of me dating him. I only pay if I ask him, if we are strictly friends, or if it's an event I really want to attend.

Would an average man want a woman to give him free stuff and pay his bills and rent?

Free tickets = a date or a guy ploying for sex

Free dinner = a date, really not a big deal here

rent = an older man or married man ploying for sex

It really isn't as glamorous as you are making it out to be.

Your friend just sounds bitter, none of this stuff is out of the ordinary and most decent women will think twice before they let a strange man pay their bills.

coming from the stereotypical "average guy", sure, if I was dating a women who eventually insisted on saying "TAKE MY MONEY!" I would take her money and use it on bills and nothing else. It would certainly make me upset if she did this and it effected her living condition or her ability to pay bills and eat, and I would not accept her money. And, gift or not, I'd probably work to pay her the money she gave me back, to get her back to her standard of living

A co-worker as in a fellow physician? Who's friends are likely other physicians? Unless you just chose the name doctor for fun.

That would be stupid of them since the bling is pretty much the only thing they have that makes them marketable to women.

It would be great if they stopped, but the 5% are not going to give up their main advantage over the other 95%.

Btw if anyone is willing to pay my rent I am willing to take them up on the offer.

I did know a woman who got her rent paid by a man but she was his mistress, and he was rich and married.
