Actually, it's quite the opposite... most feminists I know and have talked to want prostitution legalized and regulated and are VERY against demonizing sex workers in general.
They just want the abuse of sex workers to end. They want the women to be able to control their own bodies without being forced into it, and ESPECALLY want 'pimps' and 'johns' to be eradicated.

I've heard johns referred to as customers and as a middle-man/pimp, so I figured I'd include it on there I think the women prefer using the word 'clients'.

Because of the economics of prostitution. Johns are the demand side, prostitutes are the supply side. Keeping down supply raises the prices of the remaining suppliers but makes availability harder, which makes middlemen who make markets (the pimps) economically viable. Keeping the demand down by punishing johns reduces prices by forcing oversupply, while also preventing an incentive for pimps to enter the market.
The vast majority of shaming is women against women and its understandable because their Competing for the same guys. Women hate sluts because they're threatened by them. This starts from high school and continues throughout life. Think about it, it's simple supply and demand
When you have a group(particularly large) group of women giving away sex "no string attached" and on demand it lowers the incentive of Guys to want to be in a committed relationship, particulary young guys. That's why women try to discourage them.
My older sister hated dating in college for this reason. All the guys she said she was interested in only wanted NSA sex. The problem was there was MORE then enough girls on campus willing to go for that so she had a problem
