So a couple is on a first date and the man sits next to the woman in the booth, instead of across from her. What are your thoughts on the behavior.

Is it sweet? Or is it a red flag that he he is clingy, needy and invading her personal space too soon?

It was a debate where one person thinks it is sweet, and he is a keeper and another says it's a very big red flag.

No it's better to do face to face first. Side by side later on ssuch as when you watching a movie or show

Where Should You Sit On a Date?

Do you sit next to or across from sweetie when dining?

Why? This was definitely a first date. This is a huge battle and just wondering which of us is right.

Funny I just heard this mentioned on a radio talk show. They basically said to sit next to your partner/date if you are in a serious relationship but across from each other on a first date.

Depends is the seat across another booth or a hard chair?

If I’m going for a nice dinner and the choice is a hard bottom chair or nice soft booth on my tush for 60+ min I’m choosing the booth. If there is a tv with a sporting event on I’m angling for that as well.

Not me. A friend stated she went on a first date and the guy did this, and she thought it was sweet. She is mad because I said it is not sweet. It should be a huge red flag to her because it is not normal behavior on a first date. It screams of neediness, clingy and invasion of personal space to me. I would have asked him to move to his side.

If I chose one side, and you tried to sit next to me on a first date, I would have told you move, or I was leaving. You can have the whole booth. I can't candle creepy men.
