I posted about this today, about a guy I was friends with and thought he was gay turned out he wasnt and thought my friendliness was me flirting!! Very embarresing lol
This is nothing new.
I used to be much friendlier...but it got to be constant b.s. with men thinking I was "into" them, & having to deal w/ that.....I quit being so nice
Same here -- I find that friendliness is misunderstood or taken for more than what it is. I have become less friendly as a result, which may be interpreted as aloofness or arrogance, but it is just to avoid awkwardness or unwelcome situations.
Yes, I just decided it was a bad idea to be friends with my exes because they seemed to still flirt with me! And here I was thinking it was over, just trying to be friendly..
