Don't get too hung up on the texting and how long it takes him to reply. Sounds like he just wanted to say hello and stay in touch with you. I'd reply but I'd let him take the lead on asking you out again. Nothing is better for getting to know someone than face to face interaction. I think it's okay to go out a couple times a week and not talk much if at all inbetween those dates. That's the way it used to be and people still dated and go to know one another. The expectation people have to stay in constant communication and get instant replies to their texts puts way too much pressure on getting to know someone IMO.
I'm sure your right. I just noticed the texts were the same boring texts everyday. Maybe I am just expecting too much. I was definitely glad he texted me.
I texted him last night and normally he texts me every day before work but not today. I just got used to that. I guess I shouldn't just automatically assume bad stuff. I'm sure he has stuff to do too.

You should make it unboring. Spice it up! A playful, saucy message might give him an opening to send you something different.
