I have a female friend (who has a BF), who invites me out with her friends and even one time had me accompany her to a party as a friend. I think it is because she trusts me a lot more than other guys and I won't make moves on her (she is pretty but not my speed.)

We did get drunk and kiss maybe...7 or 8 years ago and that ended up with both of us laughing on the floor because it was so ridiculous. It's hard to explain our friendship because it's just so comfortable and happy, but there is NO WAY in hell we could ever work as a couple. Just...no.
So yeah, it's possible, but I do think it's quite rare.
I've never been able to be just friends with the opposite sex unless we're hanging in groups. It prevents me from getting too close to them because the moment I start sharing personal information, one of us is bound to cross the line.
That's not true either. I have had a few female friends who were very goodlooking. We just thought we were better at friends and we didn't want to ruin that if things didn't work.
You're going to make it hard for some women to ever lose these old, outdated stereotypes of men.
so what do you do with ur friends that are girls? Shop? talk about their outfits? I dont really see the point in being friends with girls I'm attracted to. Its like being an alcoholic and hanging out with friends at a bar. I'm friends with my friend's girlfriends. But I'm not friends with any single girls that I am attracted to. None that i would call up on a phone and hang out with.

For one, I'm super picky. Always have been. So, we'll get that out the way. It's not like I'm attracted to many of them. Actually there were only a few. I've had more females that were my friends try to get with me. When they realized that I didn't see them like that, poof-they were gone. Some I never heard from again.
What are you talking about shopping? Dude, don't make me out to be some wussy/ sissy. We talk about everyday things just like you would with a guy. Heck, I'm close to my sister and mom too. Does that make me whatever? Women are more than just sex..Go make some female friends. You'll learn alot about females. Not to say I know alot about females. But I know more than I would have..Women can be great friends. Just like guys can be to women. Sometimes, that's all guys want from them, but women might think he wants to hit it.
By the way, I'll say it again. The name Supermanpansy was a dichotomy. A joke. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm neither super nor am I a pansy. And for the record, I'm straight!
For the record. I'm a huge NY Giants, Yankees, Knicks fan. My sister could talk football, baseball with any guy. That girl knows what's going on in sports more than any of my guy friends. She's even as passionate as me. She almost has to watch certain things alone. I'm getting better. Going out to sports bars much more. I actually wanted to watch the superbowl at her house. She was like, "you know how I am. I have to watch it alone". I'm like Renee wth, it's not like the Giants are in it. She was like," once again, I have to watch it alone". She's very witty/ sarcastic in nature..She doesn't even let her husband watch sports with her.

That sounds like fun! I had a friend like that once, i mean comfortable and happy, and it end the worst way possible: we fall in love, dated for 7 years and now he left me and he broke my heart. I also lost the best friend i ever had .

so basically u back up my argument, unless u are attracted to your mom or sister. No where did i say women are only good for one thing. All i said was that i cant be friends with girls I am attracted to. Thats it, sure i can have pleasant conversations with them about everyday life, but im not actively hanging out with them in a friends setting. Just dont see the point. You admit that u werent attracted to many of ur female friends

I knew from the beginning that me and my friend would never date. There just wasn't any type of chemistry or attraction at all between us and nearly 15 years later there still isn't anything there. I do have a deep, ridiculous love for him (and vice versa) but it's not romantic.
