He's young and your trying to groom him for marriage. I'd say leave him be to concentrate on his studies and enjoy his youth however he sees fit.

You can't very well feel like a lady if you're not dating a man—especially if you're treating him like a son. Find a real man, and give this boy a chance to grow up on his own or on someone else's dime.
Honestly, if I was broke I would rather spend what money I had on clothes, and not eating out. At least I would look good being broke.

Last time we went out to eat, I was on the phone with someone when the check comes and he paid for it, then tip the waiter only 5%. So when we left the restaurant, the waiter followed us and asked for more tip in front of everyone. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't sleep that night.
The harsh reality is that you're his sugar momma and he probably doesn't respect you. Maybe as a provider and mother figure, but no way as an equal and as a person.
