I've given up on looking for Love. It'll find me anyway.
What an interesting ... and profound! ... thing to say.
I would put it a little differently: I've given up on looking for Love. It MAY find me anyway.

Yes, I think that is somewhat true. I have had offers of love over the years ... it was my choice not to accept them. Some friends and acquaintances of mine are always complaining about not finding "true love" (whatever that is) but when I remind them of people who wanted to date them or were interested in them they usually dismiss me with something like "oh, he's not in my league" or "I want a lady with a bigger rack" or "I'm holding out for someone better." Let's be honest! It's easy to join the "Pity Party" and complain about not finding our perfect mate, but does the perfect really exist?
Not necessarily, but like most out there, we're just not finding a compatible match or willing to conform to fit someone's vision.
As for approaching, I typically wait until there's a legitimate reason to strike up a conversation.
But alas, the conversation never goes outside the realm of the original topic and then we're on our way.
In short, I'm more of a reactive than a proactive person when it comes to love.
Yes. I'll be 45 this year and so I don't see the point anymore. I did fall for someone recently - but he turned out to be taken already. I'm not over him yet and by the time I am, I'll be even older.
I'm 30 and have given up. Then again, I have a real physical disability which results in an abnormal gait, so I just haven't had enough opportunities to succeed in the first place. For people in similar situations, I can understand why they would give up. However, for able bodied people who aren't successful in finding love by a certain age, I'd assume they have issues, lack personality, or have unreal expectations.
Oh well, for me it just results in me focusing on my career and making as much money as possible.
Well, I've never been in love with a woman. Whenever I've tried to have a relationship with a woman it ends after a month. My luck with women is bad lol.

I get closer to that everyday. lol I guess I have given up in the sense I don't expect it anytime soon. But I, currently, have other things I am working on to improve my life, and confidence a bit.
