Well how do you communicate if you don't live together? Please don't say texting
I've been married a decade - but it seems like my teen/early 20s cousins & nieces/nephews do most of their communication this way and via Facebook, etc.

My family is the same way which is why I never respond to my mother text messages
I hate talking on the phone...always have, even when I was a teenager. I do prefer texting or chatting online but that's just a personal thing that probably evolved out of my dislike of casual phone conversations.
Regardless, it sounds like these women are just making excuses to get off the phone.

So how did you communicate with boys as a teen since you didn't see them all the time face to face?
People communicated before the advent of the telephone, did they not?
A telephone is a technological device, is it not?
Some people adjusted their style of communication to utilize this advance, did they not?
Text messaging, instant messaging, skype, etc are technological advances, right?
