Were you heavily influenced, growing up, by people your divorced parents dated? (dating, family)

...and does this affect your choices now, when it comes to introducing your bf/gf to your kids? Or, were you influenced by the fact that someone did not stick around long term?

I guess it was awfully stupid of me to start not one but TWO threads on different aspects of dating while parenting -- on Mothers' Day!

In my defense (and it's not much of one), my family celebrated the day on Saturday .
