WTH? Why is this a big deal? It's not like she's asking you your penis size before she gets too involved. I always ask guys their last names before meeting them in person (one on one).
If my body is found duct taped and gagged somewhere in a ditch after the first date, I think its only logical that there be a last name attached to the dude who killed me.
If you meet him in your own car, the likelihood of that happening goes down a little.

Oh geez. I am certain people have run me through. Not Googled me, which would pull up 15 pages of hits, in languages as different as Japanese, Russian, and Greek, but run me through looking for arrest records and things of that nature. Do I like it? Not really. Is it reality? Yes. Am I going to pitch a fit about it? No, it's not worth my time.
WestPhillyDude, you are not that important that every woman cares enough about you to be out to get you. Seriously. She was probably concerned about her personal safety and wanted to make sure you don't have a rap sheet. Lighten up. You'll live longer.
It's no big deal unless the person is trying to be deceitful. People can't do much of anything with a first and last name of a person. She'd be a fool not to look you up, there's too many men out there that are date rapists, con men, etc.
