I am a former model (art, fashion, glamour, photography, trade shows, etc)and when I was actively modeling I tried to go after handsome men. Had a few along with some wealthy men and realized many were superficial. My boyfriend is short, slightly chubby and definitely not a model type but he's wonderful.
What kind of guys do women who model (Fashion, Nude, Fitness, etc) go for?
Do they go for men with high status? Fame? Money? Good looks?
What have been your experiences?
"Model" covers vast vast territory, so I would think that overall, women who model are like other women, with the same range of experiences and preferences as other women.
I've never known any fashion models, but I'm guessing that they generally would be among the pickiest, along with Playboy models.
I worked with someone - she was the boss' girlfriend - who went to modeling school and it gave her a total makeover, and she came out of it looking like a top fashion model and having very high standards for the men she would date.
Even nude modeling covers a lot of ground, with Playboy models being the most famous and most sought after and, naturally the pickiest. Other nude magazines have a wide range of model types, with some trying to emulate Playboy and some going for the "girl next door" type. There are also a zillion (sub)genres of these magazines, e.g. bbw, over-40/50, just-18, Asian, black, etc etc. Photos in these magazines are usually accompanied by a fictional blurb about the model, written by a hack writer. Models are rarely described as eager to jump into bed with the reader - although the sleaziest magazines do this - but are often described as a girl-next-door type, and also often as an achiever or aspirer of some sort (is a painter, or wants to be the best actress in the world, or maybe is a Hollywood press agent...or wants only an alpha male and is someone who is utterly unattainable for the average reader. Porn lies, but not always in ways which are expected. Most of the nude models in these magazines posed only once. My high school gf had some amateur pics in a '90s magazine - years after she graduated. I think one-time modeling is more common than people think or assume, these one-time models are Everywoman.
most of the models i see, are the skinny greyhound looking woman, they need some cheeseburgers and ice cream...
i'd have very little interest dating one of them twig girls-
gotta have some meat on them bones..
i would think "models" would get very tired of being treated as one dimensional....everything is all about looks
if you are a model- its probly life in the fast lane and short-lived, enjoy the ride- it wont last forever.
as far as dating a model- take her places - to bring out the other sides of her-take her atv-ing, hiking, something adventurous...

You really know what you are talking about.
Just for the record, some girls post for playboy magazine cybergirl session only once too. That doesn't make them professional models. I agree with everything you posted!!!
The OP says they are on dating sites, so go get on there and get 'em!
What I've read and heard suggests those models are often mercenaries who love to string guys along to get as much money out of them as they can.
Robert Blake's wife had a reputation for being this type, she advertised as a model in magazines.
