I'd rather be around animals than people any day. I prefer dogs to cats, but I would try to help any animal that needs it. There are no stray cats where we live, because they don't survive the mountain lions and coyotes.

At one point we had 5 dogs and 2 birds. We are now down to 4 dogs and 1 parrot. It's impossible to win the fur battle but you take the bad with the good. We don't have visitors, but all my close friends are animal people any way. Pets are part of the deal with both of us. I can't be happy without a dog, and I want to always have at least 2. The parrot will likely live for many more years and she hates me. LOL

Right on sister I can't stand cats either..if they are outside in the barn,I will tolerate them until they start jumping on the hood of my truck.

I just put new carpet throughout my place and my dogs are OUTSIDE dogs.

Many of history's worst tyrants were cat haters. Cat haters often are very controlling, because a cat's affection and trust must be earned, not just demanded as is the case in dogs, and because they do pretty much what they want, these persons do not tolerate them.

I am a cat lover, and most people that know me consider me to be a pretty salty old guy, contrary to the popular perception that men often do not like cats. Since this is the relationship forum, an interesting sidelight to being a cat lover is that women very often like and are attracted to men that like cats. Over on the cat sub forum there are threads about cat haters and about women that like men that like cats.

I am a total cat person. I am an animal lover overall but I prefer cats. Low maintenance and easy animals. Most of my personal cats have been males. They seem to bond better with woman owners. All of them have been rescues. My current brat has long hair so I started getting him the Lion Cut and vaccumming is less frequent now, lol.

I'll take a cat over a man anyday. That's why they make vibrators

My friend lives in a five room house. Living with her are her mom, and three part pit bulls, and two cats. Except for her mom, they all sleep on her bed with her.

She's taken though...so nobody get your hopes up.

It's interesting to watch this flood of animals pouring out of her bedroom like a tidal wave when she opens the door.
