Husband just found a dent in the car..I knew I was going to catch hell for it.
he just had the same area fixed 5 months ago.( I took the side of the garage with my passenger front bumper)

I don't know which is more harsh. The total silent treatment, or well deserved yelling I got on the phone when he discovered it.

Which one makes you shudder when your other half gets upset.???

Sorry - can't imagine being with anyone who would yell at me for such a thing. Unless possibly I took their vintage muscle car without permission and dinged it up.

I'm single, but I'm not going to be with anyone who makes me shudder when I screw up, as long as I've acted in good faith or with good intentions and respected clearly delineated boundaries.

It sounds like a cosmetic issue - the car still works doesn't it? That's NOT something to get worked up about or a reason to make your spouse flinch.

Jrz,,,,that's the beauty of being single
We aren't rolling in the dough, and it is cosmetic, you have some valid points.
It will pass I know...

Why do you think yelling is "well-deserved" when you put a dent in a machine???

Something sounds very wrong here.

Nope, my husband wouldn't yell at me. He'd laugh at me and I'd grumble about being laughed at.

My wife has the same trouble on occasion. I don't yell at her for it. I don't expect her to be as good at driving as I am!

Just be honest about it. Then again we are responsible for our own vehicles. I enjoy the silent treatment. If my wife were to give me the silent treatment I'm okay with it.
