What does "She doesn't put up with my ****" or "She doesn't take my crap" mean?
I heard someone say this today and he meant it as a compliment to his girlfriend. What does this phrase mean?
It means that she is her own person, and has the confidence in herself and her relationship with him to tell him when she thinks he is wrong. Only a weak, controlling man would object to this.
Kinda makes me wonder, if he knows what crap he's dishing out to her, why he continues to do it. Was he put on this earth to make her life miserable?
Some people love drama, and this goes for men AND women. I've known a lot of people who purposely start stuff just to see who will actually stand up to them.
"Crap" can be anything from not picking up after himself to psychological game playing, who knows in this case.
Bottom line, she holds him accountable for his behavior, has enough respect for herself not to be used as a doormat, and he respects her for it.
