I was watching a show the other day about May/December relationships. In this case, the women on average were at least 30 years older than the men they were with. For example, a 65 year old woman living with a 28 year old man, a 53 year old woman married to a 21 year old man and a 76 year old woman dating men younger than 30 years old. Yes, they all said they have the BEST sex with them, and that the men make them feel alive, young and beautiful.

Your thoughts? I can understand 10-15 years older. Although I personally think more than 10 years (with the woman being older) starts to be too much of a generation gap.

Definitely too much age gap. When I was 45 I worked with an agonizingly beautiful 27-year-old who just happened to have a crush on me. I decided then and there that I'd not date a woman younger than my own kids. She wasn't.

I can go 10-15 years younger and 5-10 years older, so I like to think I'm pretty open minded about age, but it's very difficult for me to imagine finding a post-menopausal woman to be attractive to me as a guy in my 30's.

I date 12-20 years younger, as I'm not interested in women anywhere near my age. Even so, I probably have a limit.. I couldn't imagine being 65 and dating a 23 year old. Not that I wouldn't like to try one day

That show you were watching sounds a bit disgusting. What's the name and what channel does it air on?

To the person who gave me the rep comment, please note I said "attractive to me" not "attracted to me."

It was on either the Health or Discovery Channel. I was flipping through channels, and it caught my eye. I didn't actively seek it out. lol.

There is for me. I'm 29, I *might* go a couple years younger than me if he really had his life together. I definitely want someone who is ready to settle down, not still sowing their wild oats. What would a woman really have in common with a guy who is 20 years younger than her? To each his or her own though - if someone has that much of an age gap, but they're happy, then it's their business, not anyone else's.

I don't care what other people do, unless it somehow directly affects me. This doesn't. I do wonder how things will play out in time, as the older person loses interest in sex, or becomes chronically ill, or just looks awful. Will the younger person still want to stay with them? It seems to be a significant risk, that just when you need them the most, they no longer want to be there for you.

So, I would not want a permanent relationship with a large age difference - for me, about 10 years is the maximum. Dating a while - even a few years - is fine, as long as there is no expectation for something permanent and both people are in agreement on this. I've had a gf who's 27 years younger, but it's never going to be more than dating though it may well stay a life-long friendship.
