I have no obligation to my husband. I look good for me. I take care of me for myself and my family so that I can live a long and healthy life. Some days I want to wear sweats. Some days I want to wear a nice yellow dress and feel pretty. It's always a perk when a 4yo tells you how pretty you look.

I want my husband to live a long and healthy life and to be successful in his career. But I want him to do it for him. Because he cares about himself and values himself.

There is no obligation to your partner.

I don't think it is about looking your best, but being healthy and taking care of yourself...and wanting to be 100% for yourself AND your partner. When you feel good, you tend to want to look good. I think my partner should want that for the both of us.

Obligation? To whom? Why? If one or both partners are happy about the way the other looks, how is there even a problem.

I mean does anyone really say. "You have an obligation (to me, to God, to your Government, to ------) to stay in shape, dress well and look good."

If they do, they are not very clever.

I want to know why people think a woman has to wear make-up and have her hair done to be attractive or look her best. Are women that dang naturally ugly?

Men should also sneak out before the wife awakens, shave, shower, brush, powder their b*lls, clip their toenails, etc.

Also, no-one should ever poop when the other is in the house.
That one had me dying! Do men do this???

I don't feel obligated to look my best for my husband. I just plain ol' like looking and feeling my best for ME. He is just the beneficiary.
