I have no obligation to my husband. I look good for me. I take care of me for myself and my family so that I can live a long and healthy life. Some days I want to wear sweats. Some days I want to wear a nice yellow dress and feel pretty. It's always a perk when a 4yo tells you how pretty you look.
I want my husband to live a long and healthy life and to be successful in his career. But I want him to do it for him. Because he cares about himself and values himself.
Do you believe that a married man or woman has an obligation to try really hard to look their best for their partners? For example, not letting themselves go, exercising/dieting regularly, and wearing attractive clothes instead of trying to look like a slob (sweatpants and baggy shirts)?
I don't think it is about looking your best, but being healthy and taking care of yourself...and wanting to be 100% for yourself AND your partner. When you feel good, you tend to want to look good. I think my partner should want that for the both of us.
I want to know why people think a woman has to wear make-up and have her hair done to be attractive or look her best. Are women that dang naturally ugly?
Women should sneak out of bed before the hubby wakes up, shower, brush their teeth, floss, put on full face makeup, do their hair (flatiron, curlers, gel, touch up color....) and get back into bed so he thinks you woke up looking like that.
Men should also sneak out before the wife awakens, shave, shower, brush, powder their b*lls, clip their toenails, etc.
Also, no-one should ever poop when the other is in the house.
That one had me dying! Do men do this???
I don't feel obligated to look my best for my husband. I just plain ol' like looking and feeling my best for ME. He is just the beneficiary.
