A male friend said to me that EVERY time a man says a woman is beautiful (or pretty, or whatever), it means he wants to f*ck her. Is this true for you?
The idea surprised me, because when I say someone is beautiful, handsome, etc., I mean nothing of the sort. I mean the same thing as when I say a flower or a building is beautiful. It's just an aesthetic opinion. I do not want to sex up that cathedral. I don't think we would be compatible long term just because its arches are purty.

That's come up sometimes on this board, to the point that a few male posters accused women of being lesbians for finding female celebrities attractive. Like, I think Kate Winslet is beautiful, but I don't want to sleep with her, you know?
Yes, it happens all the time. A woman may be a perfect 10 but if you dont find her sexualy attractive or there is no chemistry at all, a guy will usualy not approach or try to push things forward. It is a perfect woman to befriend however, because chances are she has some equaly good looking friends she could hook you up with. In fact, I have some stunning girl friends and there was never anything romantic or sexual between us.
Yeah, some/a lot of women are beautiful in an artistic way, but somehow I just don't think of them sexually.
I'm a woman and I feel this way about some pretty boys. They are very, very nice to look at but I don't feel sexual towards them. I suppose that could change if I got to know them and they had a particularly masculine personality and behavior.
Your friend is wrong. For instance, there are many attractive women my adult kids' age, but I'd find repugnant to sleep with any of them. If I was single, I'd also have no desire to sleep with a woman closer to my age, just because she's attractive. What's more important is her personality and how it meshes with mine.

May surprise you, but I do. There are many ladies that I have seen that look good. They have all of the makings of a good looking woman, but I'm not feeling anything.
