Tracking body fluids? Don't you need a dog for that?

LOL, no dog required!

I think (but am not sure yet) that what's being referred to here is NFP (natural family planning). The name is misleading, some women track our cycles if our periods are irregular or for other reasons.

It typically involves taking one's basal body temperature each morning (this goes up after ovulation) and, yes, the quality of one's fluids, which change depending upon whether you're at an infertile point (well before ovulation and after ovulation) or at a fertile point.

It gets pretty graphic so I'll leave things at that.

Yeah, as a woman I can't imagine rolling the dice this way either.

Some people I know are allergic to latex condoms, I wonder besides female birth control pills, what are these people's options?

Why would anyone have sex w/o birth control if they don't want a baby? That's just reckless and stupid.

Aren't there non-latex condoms?

Even if you're talking about an inconvenience (in finding them) and maybe a greater expense as compared to latex condoms (not sure of this, just guessing), how could these reasons possibly trump gambling with maybe having an unwanted child, requiring an abortion, or getting an STD?

I think you should suggest that your friends find non-latex condoms. Problem solved.

I'm not having sex right now so I don't think about it at all, but if I were, I'd take care of it outside of sex. (i.e. I will get on BC or will already be on it)
It's something I definitely think about once a year during my annual physical and pap exam when the doctor asks if you need any BC prescriptions. I just don't think about any of this during sex. I've never had any unplanned pregnancies either. BC works for me.

We've done it. Getting pregnant wouldn't have been the end of the world but it wasn't quite the plan at that time.

Typically it was because we didn't have anything with us, did it anyway and all was great. However the few days before I expected my period I was wondering if it would show.

I like your clever status tag, but this question is bizarre. You might be caught between religion and science (hint, go with science).

Go with what YOUR belief is and do not have unprotected sex just because you cannot control yourself knowing you are unprepared for the situation. A dozen cold showers and self fulfillment is much better than one unwanted pregnancy.
