you are male, very introverted, maybe slightly verging on an Aspie (but my therapist doubts I am an Aspie) hard working, stick to yourself, harmless, benign and offend almost no one. I say "almost" no one because there will always be somebody (in my case some female co workers) who for some reason find me offensive. one is on the job currently, two have since resigned but come back to visit and they make it clear they find me offensive
these women who dislike me are in the minority but for some reason their dislike for me somehow rings out over the majority of ladies who do like me, and not only does it hurt bad, it frightens me because i wonder what they are capable of (like getting me "in trouble" whatever that means). it doesn't hurt because i don't feel rejected by them (they are not my type anyway) but it just hurts anyway
so i chalk it up to the fact that some people are just warped, and even more importantly, it is this way because I AM a live, thinking and breathing human being, and that if everybody liked me and agreed with me I'd be a human non-entity in this world
Yeah, join the gang, I've pretty much felt like and an alien most of my life, not such a bad thing, some love me some would like to annihilate me. As long as they don't mess with my livelihood, bunk em.

That's a normal response. You would probably feel that way with men, too.
Humans evolved in social groups, where being liked and accepted meant survival, and being shunned meant death by sabre-tooth or starvation.
It's a wonder we don't all have panic attacks when someone gives us a dirty look. Some discomfort is normal.
