I got a weird comment from a woman recently. I've know her for a while. She said something about her being attracted to my mind. She says I'm very analytical, so she'll tell me anything to get my opinion, including very personal things, which she says she only tells me or family. The comment came after I told her personal stuff. I've got other comments to that effect. I do get women interested in me based on more superficial things like flirting and looks (not that I'm super good looking), but I was just wondering if someone's intelligence or thinking style can be very attractive to some people. I can say that that quality can interest me, but only if they are at least somewhat my type.

Couldn't tell ya. I usually keep to myself or play dumb around people so they ignore me.

Yes, definitely. That's the #1 attractant for me. And I've been told that all women have the basic equipment, so to speak, and the looks, but the mind is unique.

Yes, I have been. Unfortunately, I wasn't attracted to his body.

what kind of intelligence do you like? how do you asses this in people? i like academic types, but i often notice that they are a bit dull, since they just follow a program. so that makes them boring. but that's still ok.

Creative types, but academic/creative is good, too. Some academics really aren't all that bright. But some are full of fresh ideas, others apply their knowledge to practical use, like setting up a non-profit for some kind of activist purpose.

I think you can only truly, accurately assess intelligence after knowing someone awhile. They may impress you at first, but when you get to know them better, turn out to be not very inspired. It's like any other assessment of character; it's best judged over time.

Some men "talk" about taking a bullet for someone.

Talk is cheap.

You cannot buy that...

The will to win at all costs is a spawn from that very idea.

We all used to think it was common.

It sure isn't.

For me attraction to a woman's mind comes after visual/physical attraction.
