For several lustrum we have travelled all over the west, in our smaller motorhome, fishing, camping out in the boonies. We use our generator for power...
I've gone through some trials & tribulations, & hard times too, but I don't dwell on those very often...
I know.... I know you miss Barb and she was important to you......The best way to honor those who aren't here is to live a good life... that is how we move forward.... not dwell on the bad stuff.... doesn't do the soul well...

I learned how to can from my great grandmother. I just sometimes don't feel like doing it all the time. I will can marina sauce later this year with the fresh tomatoes. Also may try my hand at canning peaches.
Sorry for any typos...my left finger is bandaged. I was yelling at the dog the other day while handling a razor. The razo slipped and went through my nail. I keep snagging the stupiid thing so I wrapped it up. Now I have a fat finger until it heals bettter. I really need to wrap myself in bubble wrap at times.

I've only ever done jellies and perserves. We used to go fruit picking all the time in Western NY and have an abundance of fruit to show for it. I've never tried it with sauce...hmmmm. I should look into that.
Okay, the razor story made me shudder! ugggh! That must have hurt!!!
My canning book has some good recipes. I also google a lot for different ideas.
I move again in two weeks to a new apartment so I am not starting any project until after I move and stop living out of boxes. It is getting old. I have moved 3 times in the past year. On the bright side..I did clean out my closet and purged a HUGE bag of clothes that I don't wear, haven't worn or had buyer's remorse.
OH cutting my finger nail and into bed made me curse a lot. It will take a while for the nail to grow out. I am a recovered nail biter.
