Why do couples who have a best friend, end up having the best friend have sex or do sexual acts with the couple their best friends with? Why do people cheat in general for?

Instantly insulting.
My husband and I have best friends and neither of us has ever "had the best friend have sex or done sexual acts" with either of them.
You are asking a massively broad spectrum question based on what? Not everyone does this...if this has been your experience, you need new friends and a new SO.

Question 1: Because some people find it fun.
Question 2: Variety of reasons, in general men cheat for more physical pleasure, and women cheat for more emotional reasons. I guess if depends on what "cheating" means too. Biologically, men aren't cheating, they're just doing what their firmware drives them to do. It's only been recently (like the past couple thousand years) that these behaviors (having sex with more than one woman) is considered cheating.
I've never done this nor would I. I just see it a lot from TV shows and find it weird.
Why don't you ask then, why TV writers write scripts that "end up having the best friend have sex or do sexual acts with the couple their best friends wit."
Your question is unclear, OP. Are you asking if the two people in a couple cheat with their separate friends, or are you asking if the couple has a threesome with a mutual friend? The latter is not cheating, because obviously they'd all be present and in agreement. The former would be, most likely.
What I never would. If my best friend and her boyfriend came over and the boyfriend wanted to fool around I wouldn't do that. Thats what I was referring too.

What is the actual risk factor here?
