I would like to go to a concert alone but I am not that brave. Mostly becuase the morons that get the drinking thing going on. All common decency is lost.
I do it all the time, whether I'm in a relationship (or several) or not. I usually date people who are more loner-like than I am .
I like to go out to eat with other people or by myself about equally well. And I do bring a book or play with my phone . Shopping, errands, etc., I almost always prefer to do by myself. I've never been into going to clubs or movies, so have no opinion on that. Hiking and that sort of thing is equally fun (but completely different) alone or with someone. Camping alone is too quiet, tho.
I think my lack of skill at doing errands with others is probably cramping my social style -- I should work on that .
I think women, in general, should be a little more aware of their surrounds when alone, I don't mean paranoid, but use a bit more caution than average.

I think men should becareful. Women carry electricy now. Go ahead say one wrong word. Hahaha.
I love it. I get to decide what I want to see, where I want to eat, how late I want to sleep in..etc.
Yeah but you're married and probably have been most of your adult life. Marriage can make freedom and independence seem so awesome. lol
I like it too but would still prefer to be with good company.

I don't want to make this thread about safety (how boring), but really?
Does that make you feel more safe?
Horsechick71, if you have one how come you still won't go to a concert alone?
Women (and men) should have no compunction about going out alone, to dine, to enjoy cultural venues etc.
However, single women on City-Data shouldn't bother going out alone to meet men. Instead, they should send a PM to me!
