Drinking causes us to do some really stupid things, that is a good reason to either not drink, or use some self control. You can't un-ring a bell, nor can you take back words that are hurtful and should never have been said. How would you feel if the shoe was on the other foot? I suspect this will eventually end your relationship, if not soon then at some future date. Your remark is unforgivable, your friend that asked such a question is not really your friend...

Are you a guy? If so, I'm very surprised why you don't think this is a big deal. It shouldn't be a big deal, but that's not how society works.
