I know some men preferred a non-virgin or experienced woman but I still get that feeling that he would have gotten overly excited if he was that woman's first. Something like this recently happened and this made me wonder if this is what most men would have liked, even if many won't admit it.
Way before meeting my then bf (let's call him J), I was dating Thomas but only for 2 weeks. He was the first guy that asked me out on a date and the first one I've made-out with. However, something about him turned me off and I dumped him but technically he was my bf because he had already asked me if I wanted to be his gf and I said yes.
After dumping him, I met J and it went on from there. I lost it to him 3 months shy of turning 20. Fast-forward; about 2-3 months ago I got contacted by Thomas through facebook. The conversation got a bit intense and when he found out he was the first one to asked me out as well as my first kiss, he seemed excited. Then suddenly he asked ''But you aren't virgin anymore, right''? When I answered yes, he seemed a bit irritated. It took him several moments to type something and when he asked ''Ok but he must have done you good''? it's when I got upset and stopped chatting with him and haven't since then.
What was he expecting? We're both 26 years old already and obviously after you've got dumped, someone else comes along the way. Back then we were 18-19 year-olds.
Is that really every man deeply (even in his subconscious) dreams/fantasizes about no matter how old he is? Even if the woman's number is very low (mine stayed at 1)? I remembered it also made my then bf more excited though he told me he didn't care if about that (but his expression told something else).
After this awful conversation, I already assumed that I was right in dumping him. I don't get why he even had a tiny glimpse of hope that I was going to still wait or even got jealous about it.
Maybe for a guy that doesn't want her to know just how bad he is by comparison, or a guy that thinks she should be his property, or a guy that has a fetish for virgins.
For more sensible people without that fetish it isn't really a big deal.
In a world where 80% of sexually active people have HPV, yes, a virgin would be great.
I agree to that but I get the feeling it's more than just health they're concerned about it. Many or some seem to feel like a winner, as if you were the first in line getting a ticket for a drawing contest and at the same time the winner. Or as if he were being visited by a unicorn or colorful flying fish found on the deep ocean that only shows up once in a while.

I guess I'll assume the first and later for Thomas; insecurity and fetish for virgins.
Though, at times my then bf would referred to as Ms goody-two-shoes.

Well it might be expected of teens, but at your mid to late 20's it would be kind of strange,
and yes men are pigs, we think of virgins in one thought and porn stars in the next...

Yeah, I felt kind of shocked and creeped out that he would ask that after all these years.
