I always wanted to make really weird purchases to see if I could get a reaction from the cashier.

Tampons, red wine, ice cream, duct tape, rope, a plunger and 3 light bulbs... something like that. It's early here so not all parts of brain are fully functional.

rarely get a reaction.. I think most cashiers have "seen everything" go by.. .

I did get a smirk out of a young cashier once when I bought two large boxes of bulk condoms. I thought about going through the same line to get another two with two of my female friends arm in arm. Just to see if we could get a reaction... lol

That's why God created self-check out machines.

I revel in it.

I consider it a great social science experiment, seeing how various people react (if at all).

Negative reaction = Neanderthal ... wait, that's an affront to Neanderthals!

I have admittedly not had the opportunity of late, but have frequented specialty stores of certain types on dedicated missions ...

That's always a fun one.

I once went to Sam's and bought a watermelon, a big box of Fiber One brownies and the bulk package of toilet paper.

Who cares what the cashiers think? I often wonder if the guys who are so afraid of buying tampons are worried the cashier will think it's for them.

I always wonder what the big hang up about this stuff is? My husband has, but he would give me hell about asking him to go pick me up pads. The one or two times he did he need too much instructions on what to get and was calling me from the Drug Store all confused lol. I almost never run out of stuff like that for this reason alone.
