If I choose to answer a thread, I'll give my reply on the issue at hand. If I think the person's smug, on their high horse, etc., then I won't waste my time answering.
Yup. You're just better than all of us. Sorry about that. Please don't overestimate us in the future.

It is within a company or organization's rights to dismiss employees (or not even hire a candidate) if they have visible tattoos. See Roberts v. Ward, 6th Cir., No. 05-6305.
Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits workplace discrimination based on religion, national origin, race, color, or sex. With an exception for very narrowly defined religious purposes, that protection does not cover tattoos. Keep in mind that merely having a tattoo that includes or consists of a Christian cross, Star of David, etc. doesn't qualify under that religious exception, either.
Finally, in those states which are Right to Work (24 states + Guam) employers can dismiss (or not even hire a candidate) for any reason other than Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, including if the employee (or candidate) has a tattoo anywhere (visible or not.)
So to the OP... if your goal in your relationship with your SO is to eventually get married, it can be argued that your thoughts about it should be considered and respected. His employability is at stake!
OP, I think this thread would have probably taken a very different direction if you had left out the value judgements (conflating tattoos with bikers, people who drug/drink heavily, being unwholesome, unprofessional, seedy...) and had simply said your SO occasionally talks about wanting a tattoo, but you personally find tattoos very unattractive.
On that sage note (which I feel is worthy of a repeat)
Thread closed.
