Natalie Portman (Sam) in Garden State, Zooey Deschanel (Summer) in 500 Days of Summer, Audrey Hepburn (Lula Mae) in Breakfast at Tiffany's. I'm starting to think these women only exist in works of fiction. I can't settle and am happy enough alone, but it would be nice to have someone I could lay just about anything on and be able to reciprocate/grow to love, even through the peaks and valleys life throws at us.

You may just have your standards set just a tad high, Sparky!

You might like some Nicolas Sparks titles.
I'm not being facetious here. They are decent reads and most of the characters are as you describe. Easy reading and a decent love story if you are just looking for fluff.

Finding them in real life? I think you were born in the wrong generation.
