LOL I am surprised so many female posters fell into the OP's trap
If you review the thread, you'll see that most didn't. Most said character is key, and the OP's warped little view of women as chasing after money or status doesn't apply to most.
You gotta' lighten up dude. I don't think most posters (men or women) took the OP's question all that seriously.
It was a false choice scenario, making it seem as if people answering *had* to pick one or the other.
I took the question seriously,
but since neither money nor status have anything to do with my personal life (choices),
then I had to disregard the set-up as posed.

Again, there are some of us who don't take this stuff too seriously or personally and answer the questioned posed. I guess I viewed the question as silly knowing fully well that most women don't set out looking for a high status or wealthy man.
If someone presented me with the question: "Which would you rather have? A Toyota Camry or a Honda Civic?" I wouldn't buy or be interested in either one, but given the two options presented, I'd pick Camry.
