Apparently, he is a bit socially awkward and missed the lesson that included that it is an terrible insult to offer to pay an attractive woman to go out with you.

He's not 6 foot tall, but he isn't a midget. A Borzoi is mighty tall when standing on his back legs. It's not like the doctor is waltzing with a Labrador Retriever and isn't any taller than the dog.

Now, if he wanted to make it work, he could probably trade nose jobs, breast implants, cheek implants, and tummy tucks to aspiring, but not yet successful, fashion models. But those aren't $300 "gifts".

I think you have something there. Maybe all those years studying in schools contribute social and other skills to the rest of us. I read in some financial source that doctors are notoriously naive when it comes to money matters. That makes them a fairly easy target for con men.
