Honestly, my thoughts are that guys who have a problem with single moms have a problem either because a. she had sex with someone else or b. he thinks the kid is going to suck up what little money he has.

Of course some guys just don't like kids too.

I'll spend five seconds googling to find it.

There you go.
Did you notice that was the same article I quoted?

It does not say what you think it says.

A guy once asked me if I was married before or if I had kids without being married. Why did he ask me that? Did he want to know if there was a man hanging around still?

Now, don't get mad at me ... I was merely just answering srjth saying that there were more possible reasons besides what she listed and they aren't necessarily misconceptions or assumptions.

I'm the first to try and not dog on the single moms...

Truth be told...

Hard truth is is that he may have been testing the "wh&re" factor.... as in a whole lot of guys think that women having kids out of wedlock think that way.

Ugly, but most likely why, other than what you listed.

OP, i didn't read all the posts but i too had one of those transformation from "now way, why complicated your life" to "sure, if she it someone who i want to be with in an LTR".

all it takes is the right woman, like what hit me in my early 30s then i got engaged to her. and as a childless divorced bachelor, i'd do it again today should the right one come across my radar.
