You do realize having plastic surgery is not the end all miracle in a scalpel fix for your attitude and self esteem issues right?

Your looks will change with the surgery but you are still going to be you after the surgery, the wounds heal and the bandages are off.

It is exactly like weight loss surgery, you will definitely lose the weight however, that is the only thing that will change in your life as a result of the surgery.

YOU will always be YOU with all of your current self image issues and will remain that way until YOU do what you need to and change that image and repair the rest of what you think is wrong in your life.

Tenshi you live in Barcelona? You're lucky. I'm working in MAdrid at the moment but it lacks Barcelona's energy and it's difficult to find English speakers but at least my spanish will improve. Sorry to be off topic.

I've read things online on how guys didn't like plastic surgery and thought it was "fake" and wouldn't date a person who had work done because they were covering up their faulty genes, and didn't want "ugly" babies.

Idiots might say that on a messageboard or article, but normal people don't think like that. If you look good, they'll date you. If you look ugly it will be harder.

If you had plastic surgery, were a 10/10 and nice.. why the hell would I care if you had work done?

You'll want to tell if the relationship gets serious.

I'm thinking of this sort of situation: you were born with a great big honking nose. You get it fixed. You have a child and the child is born with a great big honking nose.

If your hubby didn't know you had a nose job, he is going to assume you cheated on him and the boyfriend contributed that nose.

In this day and age, I don't think plastic surgery is a big deal.

That's not even how genetics work.

My father has a "big honking nose", so it could easily be the explanation if my child had a "big honking nose".

What about the hubbies genetics? He also plays a role into what our child would look like. It's not all based on me...

Plastic surgery doesn't have the taboo it once did, and people usually only notice it if it's badly done.... or if they themselves had work down or are a plastic surgeon.

If you are have a "lot" of plastic surgery done, chances are it's going to be somewhat obvious depending on the procedures, and what you mean by a "lot".

Well, you might have to tell him eventually. Either that or you are going to have to hide all your "before" pics - which might become tricky if things get serious. He might wonder why you didn't seem to exist in photos until your present age.

I'm only having two things done, but it's "a lot" in the sense where it'll take a while for recovery. I'm having corrective jaw surgery, which can change a persons looks dramatically.

My bite isn't that bad, but that just gives you an idea.
