Like it wasn't really an "organic" (I hate that word) creation, but just a ploy to titillate and cause a "controversy." I could be wrong , and it's unfair to say since I haven't read it, but I just can't bring myself to read it. Besides, I already saw 9 1/2 Weeks.
Yeah it isn't well-written, at least not in my opinion. However, it does evoke an emotional response...LOL

It tastes "too fishy"
Do you eat shellfish like clams, mussles..etc? How about shrimp or squid (calamari)?
Damn...I'm getting hungry! I could go for some Fra Diavolo!

I did that a while back. Lost 40 on my own and then joined WW and lost the rest. I had come to a stand-still and needed a bit of structure, like you said.

LOL! I doubt you'll like it, but then again, lots of women do seem to think it's pretty great, to my disappointment, my daughter included. Actually maybe it's a good thing for her and other women. Maybe I've been looking at this wrong.

I'm not much of a "joiner" type, so a meeting situation wouldn't really appeal to me, I don't want to have to shlep somewhere after work to sit around with a bunch of other fatties and do what ever they do there, sit in semi-circle, sacrifice animals/virgins to that fatboy Gods.

Jeez.... No thanks to that mess.

Yeah, I was just wondering why all the flutter among so many women. I guess the obvious answer would be, different strokes, etc... It's not that I'm uptight about the "alternative"-sexuality aspect of it; I'm not against exploration. I don't know. I just don't care enough to check it out.

EDIT: Another thing (that Chow and I were just discussing), it's partly that response you get to anything that starts getting overhyped. Everyone tells you "you have to see it, you have to see it!" and after a while you're just sick of hearing it and start to get stubborn and refuse to see it. LOL. Does anyone else feel that sometimes?

No...no you haven't. It's redundant, poorly written and lacks imagination. However, I think it was written as a "desperate housewife" type book and it may appeal to the soap opera watching type.

I went to the meetings for a bit in this area. I realize it may be different in other areas depending on the population, but it honesty was just a bunch of fatties patting themselves on the back for every little "success". They even handed out stickers and shyt...no lie!

I prefer to do the program online.

Yeah, I'm not part of that crowd that wows themselves for being able to get out of bed in the am and wants recognition....

I was joking in my post about it, but what ever works at the end of the day, a lot of people have had a lot of success with WW.

I'm with you, I'd probably do an online version of it, I do believe the structure of it is something good, and I can get behind that.

In terms of the 50 shades thing... meh.... I hear it's porno lite for the bored soccer moms of the world, but again... what ever floats peoples boats...

.

What I meant is for those people that enjoyed it, good for them, if it enhances their romantic lives in some way, I shouldn't have disdain for them, not everyone can be a naturally fun exploratory super freak like the rest of some people. Hahahahaha.

I'm down with alternative but a chimp could have written it better than she did. It's a snore and will grate on your nerves.
