I didnt vote, cause for me it's complicated. I have never dated someone that would be considered high maintenance.
Typically sporty or more average women on the maintenance spectrum are women I wind up in relationships with.
Granted, most of them were still stylish in their own way, but high maintenance they were not.
To me, high maintenance would be a woman who always has her nails done, spends time every day making sure hair and make up is perfect, and wearing high end designer clothes. Basically the woman who cant go to the grocery store without looking in the mirror and putting on 'nice' clothes.
And not that theres anything wrong with high maintenance, but I am closer to a IDGA* personality. So me and high maintenance are polar opposites.
Half the woman I have dated probably rocked sans make up a lot of the time, unless she had a legitimate reason to doll up. And since they have been able to pull off sans make up......
Would I date high maintenance?
I would try it. But I think it take a special high maintenance type woman to put up with me.

If you mean someone who has to doll up to do anything and keeps their person overly groomed, nipped, tucked, etc.

Both of my girls are very high maintenance. They can get insanely jealous if I give affection to the other, and they are constantly fighting over stupid stuff. I have to feed them both twice a day, but they still whine when there is something on my plate that they want more. Even small things are always a huge ordeal. Sometimes something as simple as going to the bathroom requires me to walk with them several miles to find the exact right spot to do their business.
One of them is very well mannered when outside the house, but she is an absolute tiger in the bedroom. When I got home from work the other day I noticed that my bedroom door was open. I walked in found several pairs of my boxer shorts literally chewed up. What an animal!
Anyway, I guess I am used to high maintenance girls. My girlfriend is very low maintenance by comparison.
