Anyone who uses a service and goes out with someone they know nothing about beyond that, in my opinion. is not very smart and could end up dead or molested.
This is what I have been trying to get thru my sisters head too and she wont listen and the guy she just was talking to in emails and on the phone has done the houdini (dissapeared ) cause she would not meet him on his terms . I try to tell her they could be serial killers etc on those dating sites . I hope if this guy emails her again I hope Im there to tell him off you know ...thank you for re affriming my suspcions . It is too dangerous to meet someone off of those things I do believe that too .
Technically, online dating should be the perfect dating vehicle for the masses.
It takes care of looks, by far the most important factor in dating, right at the beginning without the embarrassment and guilt that comes with rejecting people you know in regular life.
It also eliminates the weirdness of having to see people you have rejected or been rejected by again who are in your social circle, especially if they start dating other people you know.
I feel like if someone has to resort to using online dating then their dignity is greatly diminished. It means that a person has a fundamental flaw that inhibits them from properly communicating with the opposite sex in the real world.

Oh GOOD LORD. I did online dating for years. Result? Several great relationships, and my current beau of 4+ years.
Clearly anyone can use bad judgement...no matter WHERE you meet a person. There are certain common-sense guidelines one should always follow. Some people just don't have the sense God gave a goose.

I don't think my dignity is diminished due to online dating. I just signed up last week in order to try meeting someone. I believe I'm a pretty genuine guy.
lol...your imagined dignity has been blamished. What nonsense is this now? Or you could simply stop caring about what others think about you, and begin living your own life on your own terms. Yep, ill go with that.
