What exactly is gender racism? age racism? looks racism? income racism?
Gender racism is for example when you are not getting a "mans job" if you are a woman, or you are not getting a "womans job" if you are a man even your education would be same or better than others. Age racism is for example when you are not getting a job because you are "you old" or "too young" . Looks racism is for example when you are not getting a job without going a face lift first, or because of "asian eyes" (news few weeks ago) or you are too fat or some other reason what basic on your looks. Income racism is for example this "poor class", middle class, elite stuff when people are labeled by their incomes and not by who they are and their skills etc.
If some terms are different in english it does not change the fact that all is racism and also called as racism in some other languages/countries.
I have read certain topics throughout this CD board, and I'm somewhat appalled that people think that not dating someone based on the color of their skin is a preference and not racist.
It's still racial preference. We are all one race. The human race and most people of all different ethnic backgrounds function the same way. We are not born into this world having this predetermined idea that I am not going to be attracted to black, Asian or Indian men.
If you are not attracted to someone of a certain ethnicity, more than likely at some point in your life you were taught to dislike people of that certain ethnic background. Whether it's your parents pushing negative beliefs of minorities in your mind while you're young (don't date black men for ex), to stereotypes being pushed down to you in the media, or certain negative experiences you had with a certain person of a different ethnicity....there is a reason why you are more attracted to people who are hypothetically speaking white than black.
If a child was raised in an extremely diverse neighborhood and traveled throughout the entire world, they're more likely to be open and not have racial preferences when it comes to dating, compared to a child who was raised in a homogenous suburb. You see this with many children who are military. They are pretty much open to dating people of all different backgrounds and walks of life.
If you have a preference when it comes to dating, you're racist unfortunately.
So what? You don't have any right to tell people who they should and should not like. Since every race does it, in every country, then, it's all a wash anyway. I doubt you would date a morbidly obese 800 pound man or woman who is stuck to his or her bad and can't leave his or her room to go to work. That would make you and everybody on this forum prejudiced, in one way or another.

I don't think so.
There is racism and there is gender discrimination for example. Not every discrimination or prejudice is race based.

It means age racism when it basic only on age is racism equal to race racism. All those things equal with race racism. And if other countries or you personally don't agree, then don't. That is how it goes here.
And like I already said, what people are calling it does not change the trait of it.

LOL seriously?!
Maybe you should read this article
"Pro union chairman Antti Rinne branded as “age racism” (ikärasismia) a proposal by Juhana Vartianen, director general of the Government Institute for Economic Research (VATT), to lower salaries for workers approaching retirement age, reports YLE. Is there such a thing as age racism? Shouldn’t the correct term be age discrimination (ikäsyrjintä)?"
Even if Rinne wants to emphasize age discrimination by calling it a dirty name like “age racism,” the usage of the term in such a manner is not only wrong but demeaning to those who suffer from ethnic discrimination.
Like many sociologists who study racism, this social ill exists because it permits one ethnic group to empower itself at the expense of another. Racism is a far worse pathological disorder and goes beyond individual prejudice."
"To use the term racism incorrectly in any language is to defile its true meaning and blunt and divide our attention to such a menace."

I don't think I am fighting with myself, Just want to give you a different perspective and point of view.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Don't be so defensive, when you insist on using the word "fight", although you add "with yourself" after the word fight, it sounds a bit like drama queen. =)
What is the definition of age racism? gender racism, income racism, looks racism LOL citation needed.
When you google "abusement" you can find About 394,000 results in (0.17 seconds), doesn't mean "abusement" is a word you can find in the dictionary, so your point?
