That criticism is a little too vague to be useful.
Frankly, you're lucky to ever get the real reason someone is dumping you. Usually because the real reason is something that would make the other person look vain or cruel or just plain stupid.
You are not interesting? Ha! Count yourself fortunate not to be the object of feminine interest, for it is the woman and not the man that chooses the mate; and in this, the only thing more dangerous than a desperate woman is a designing woman. The former one can avoid, the latter one cannot.
You're asking a question that gets asked the world over... why would a woman not marry their best guy friend and instead choose the jobless drummer they meet in a bar? It all comes down to excitement, mystery, a cocky sense of humor... though not all women are the same, most like guys that are unique in some way, any way... and not unique just buy being a hard working housedad... that's boring, unfortunately. They want to be movers and shakers 'in the world' ... they want a guy who has an active social life who is involved with lots of things outside of his own little world, even if it's in a not so good way.
They also like being teased and like the thrill of the hunt... some guys are just too nice, too much of a pushover, and too indecisive (for example, not caring where one goes out to eat and deferring the decision to her all the time) Also chingy guys who latch onto any woman that gives them attention.... that's particularly bad news....
This. I'm in my 30s and just became single and wanted to get a PS4 so bad.
But instead of that I'm buying a new shotgun. More interesting to the ladies and it's very difficult to find a girl that doesn't want to shoot shotguns. It's exciting and interesting to them, and a pretty solid panty wetter when they shoot.

My advice to you is to forget about women, and focus on making something of yourself. Then you will be really interesting.
