Someone sent me a message a few days ago. It was on two words "Why [insert current town]?"

What kind of question is that? Is she trying to insult my current location? I asked her why, and have yet to receive a response.

You just responded with "Why?" Did you at least capitalize and use punctuation? Why did you make the assumption she was slamming your city? Why didn't you just respond a reasonable response and explain how you found yourself in that city?

Really!
A simple answer would have been better than echoing her like a smart-aleck kid.

You should be glad they didn't ask about your gastrointestinal...issues.

(For reference:
Expelled from party for passing gas
Which is more rude?)

I replied, "I don't understand your question. Can you be more specific?"

It's a beginning to determine your passions. Is it your city due to after-hours activities? Are you in it b/c the professional possibilities are endless? Do you lack passion and this is the job you've had for 20+ years and it is down the street from where you used to live with your parents? Give her specifics and you can give her an insight into your thinking on 'why' is such a good place.

Why do you live where you live? born and raised? did you relocate from somewhere else?
