I am not attractive nor have I ever been. The only difference from then to now is I am 40 pounds lighter.

What positive signals are you expecting? Women aren't just going to fall at your feet as clearly you're no Adonis. Work on what you can fix about your appearance (nice clothes, hit the gym, wear nice cologne), ditch the negative and defeatist attitude and work on your approach (learn to make people laugh). Women (and people in general) can pick up on a lack of confidence. For your own sake stop blaming luck.
