My buddy got hit by a 12'' end-cap that had 150 PSI behind it. Shot him 45 feet through the air and now he walks funny and has scarring on his chest, face and hip. He even has issues getting the little soldier up (not sure why he indulges us with this information, but whatever).
He's more machine now than man (He has a lot of metal in him!). He goes out on way more dates than I do. He just got out of a 2 month relationship with a decently attractive woman, She was like 5'8 and 150lbs, 29. reasonably attractive. Dude has a way with words, everyone likes being around him.
So I guess it can happen =)
He just acts like he owns everything and doesn't give a **** about what anyone thinks. I wish I was more take charge like that!

Meet women and become friends with them before pursuing them. I don't mean for you to become their best friend, but socialize casually.
Church, classes at a community college, take a bar tending class, join a club, work out at a gym and take the group classes that many women are in, volunteer at a recycling place, volunteer at a food bank.
There are women out there who are not shallow, you just have to approach them
I am tired of guys complaining about women, if they are only dating high maintenance shallow girls. I would hope that you are choosing women who are more than a pretty face with a rockin' body.

I consider myself pretty attractive and I struggle getting dates. You just have to keep putting your fragile ego on the front line and get out there. Honestly, who cares if it's a horrible date. It's experience and improves your social skills. I've gotten miles better in the last couple years, but I still need a lot of work!
Take a college course where you'll be around women, and men. Get in a new social circle, that's helped me recently too. I went and got drinks with "John" and he brought his wife and some other friends/girlfriends. Now I've been invited to a cook out at their house.
Get lots and lots of lube and tissues but don't fret. Someone, somewhere will *********. If Jeff Goldblum in the Fly got some then so can you.
