I don't use it anymore, I've grown to use "hang out" over "chill"
I've been called a "chill person" my whole life. That means I'm a pretty relaxed or mellow guy. I don't see why someone would get upset over this honestly, It's just more slang.
If you don't like slang, I suggest you learn another language and give up on English.
I'm seeing it everywhere: personal ads, roommate ads. What exactly does it mean? And when did it start? A movie? A singer? I feel like I missed something.

Chill means a calm or easy going person in the ads.
