It seems to me the men who complain that women don't approach and don't deserve to be approached are simply displaying their insecurities and lack of confidence in their own masculinity.
Or maybe some of us are just sick and tired of getting rejected all the time and are also shy and approaching causes alot of anxiety for us to begin with add in all the rejections and its just not a pleasant thing for us unattractive men..
But you're promulgating the same hypocrisy. So how does that improve anything? How does being a hypocrite put you in a position to tell anyone anything?
Women just want jobs, well-paying jobs, and freedom from violence and harassment. The respect that men take for granted. A surprising number of those women do make the first move, do ask guys out, and do offer to pay. No hypocrisy there. Look for those women, if that's what would make you happy. They're out there. No one's stopping you from finding them but yourself.
How am I furthering the hypocrisy? I'm doing what all guys should be doing in the name of equal rights and Feminism.
I'm sitting back and trying to look my best, waiting for a smart and successful woman (who makes way more money than me) to approach me, sweep me off my feet, court me and provide me with the security that I desire.

If approaching causes you anxiety, try the other route: join groups & activities so women can get to know you and your personality over time. Have you tried that?

Really? You need guidance from a male or female level headed person. A person with experience and not jaded. Rather learned from their mistakes.
