Just a general question for men.... has this ever happened?

Were you annoyed? Did you ask her to stop, or were you okay with it?

For women ..... why do you think some women do that? Is it because of maternal instincts ... like they feel their man is a child they must take care of?

I know there is no universal answer - people are different - but at least a subjective view from CD members could give me an insight.

Darling....with your may other threads, I am starting to think the issue is how you are presenting yourself or how how you may be taking common interactions the wrong way.

No, girlfriends seldom want to treat a guy they are dating as a child (though I won't say it never happens.. but it's damn rare)....I guess the first question is to ask why you think your dates treat you this way?

In the bedroom? It really depends on the roles we're playing...

Generally, women only treat men like children because the men are acting like children.

Yeah, every girlfriend i have finds it necessary to point out my insomnia and tries to get me to sleep and take better care of myself.

I don't really have a problem with it unless it gets out of hand. i just think it's nice they try to "look out" for me

I didn't mean that.

I meant something like this: smacking your head if she believes you've done or said something inappropriate, pinching your cheeks if she believes you've done something cute, ordering you sometimes (like "wear your seat belt", "eat your veggies" etc.) .... in short, the way we usually treat little kids.

The first physical smack from a partner as you have described would put them out of the door and out of my life for good. I do not tolerate anything physical no matter the situation on any level.
Pinching any part of my body is the same as being physical and out the door they go. I do not like to be pinched, tickled, smacked, slapped or anything else and I again will not tolerate it on any level for any reason.
The rest of what you have described, she does not respect you and does not want a partner she wants a child.
Leave now or never complain again.
