I think it depends on your outlook on it. I knew I'd be single going into it, so I wasn't at all shocked by it or anything. I mean, it's just one day out of the year.

I'd even be okay if people had Singles Awareness Day on another day, but it just looks childish to put up a competing holiday because you don't have a date.

Actually Singles' Awareness Day is different than you thought, it is on the 15th (today) Singles Awareness Day - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Not trying to be argumentative, but the the only place I see that on a Google search is Wikipedia and a website created for the day. Most people "celebrating" it (that I knew of) did so yesterday. Even the news articles about it ran yesterday as a V-Day alternative.

That said, I fully support S.A.D. being on the 15th

The idea of the day is for both the 14th and 15th with no set day. Singles Awareness Day | Know Your Meme
Personally I thought it was a put down by those who are in relationships to those that do not and got owned by those put down rather than let it put them down.
