I met a guy a week ago at school, we’re both new. He knows the area better than me (I come from a different town) so every day he shows me around a bit, he acts very nice and gentle.
He even waits for me sometimes at the end of the day if I finish 30-45 min after him so that we can leave at the same time (when he came to pick me up at the library 2 days ago at the end of the day – we had agreed to leave at that time – he said “ready ? I’m kidnapping you… ” which I found cute ). When we leave he walks a bit with me while he could take his bus 5min away from the school, instead we go together where I have to take mine which is a slightly farer for him and he takes another one (or sometimes shows me stg in the area first).
Anyways we have lunch together every day, he is very well educated he even carries my tray sometimes. The other day as we were having lunch, he made a joke that intrigued me a bit.
Not long before we had run into another guy who I used to be friend with but I'm not anymore This guy and I are in a big cold (I cut him off, he acted like a jerk). The guy asked why we weren't talking to each other anymore... I just said that's life, he wasn't that nice in the end and not that reliable... it happens, nothing grave. he smiled/laughed gently and said "ok I see so basically he was madly in love with you and you friendzoned him..." . I blushed and don't remember what I answered...
He also teases me a lot about the region I come from and other things but also acts gentle.
Why do you think he made that joke, is this considered a bit flirty ?
