Why don't you wait until you actually get a woman to agree to marry you to worry about this stuff?
So, one person gets to make decisions for one day and the other person gets to make decisions for the rest of their lives? Yeah, sounds perfectly healthy.
When you are old enough to date, you might see things differently.
Nobody wants to be in a controlling relationship no matter what the topic or issue at hand. Generally, couples will work through their differences both in wedding planning and marriage.
I cant think of one single straight man that wanted to "control" the wedding. Most don't even want an actual traditional ceremony. If anything most women would welcome their groom to contribute to the planning. I've actually know more women who finally said heck with it and just eloped or had a relative plan the wedding or hired a wedding planner.
I agree that some brides turn into control freaks--hence the term "bridezilla." Planning a wedding is a great way to see 1) how she handles stress, 2) her attitude about money and whether it matches yours, and 3) whether she sees the wedding as "her day" or a celebration for both of you. If she's a bridezilla, don't marry her!

Yeah, I'd pretty much wouldn't mind letting her deal with all of the "stuff" regarding it. Luckily, if we ever get married, it would be something super simple.

An outside simple wedding is the best
We were married out in the woods on a sunny fall day. A creek babbled behind us and the glorious fall colors were all the decoration needed
