a) The old-fashioned ones are the types that still want to wait till marriage and become more focus on being a housewife with excellent cooking skills and having kids.

b) The one with mixture of both consists of those that might not be too focused on waiting till marriage but only have interest in long-term monogamous relationships, work/study but still married for the purpose of being a great household partner and mother to his kids.

c) Very career-minded are those that want to finish their major and/travel, believes in long-term monogamous relationship but might not want kids. Not traditional like the first.

I tend to gravitate towards the third type. I'm an atheist that doesn't believe in waiting till marriage but has no problems waiting for a monogamous sexual relationship (and no, I'm not a virgin) and right now my goal is finishing my major. I don't like the idea of staying in the kitchen 24/7 and would love travelling. Ironically I don't fit the category of the Hispanic traditional girl since I was born in South America but obviously not raised there.

I guess the last one would be the feminist type woman but with values such as being an ''only sex in relationship'' woman, having manner with your elderly, knowing when to say thank you, etc. without the need for religion nor old fashioned ideas.

This has got me wondering a bit. Certain men haven't been too happy with women who don't have values anymore and try going after foreign women. Technically I am a foreigner (though raised in Florida since the age of 4) but if they bump into me, they would find themselves a big surprise when hearing I don't want kids but still have values without withholding old-fashioned ideas. What exactly is having values overall? I considered myself someone of values too, but just different than the puritanical ones. Why are the traditional ones praised so much and treated as if they were rarer than the 2nd or 3rd (me) types?? I would say finding a woman in her late 20's that doesn't want kids and single is more rarer than a traditional puritanical type.

I am bored by people who don't think about anything other than their career. Old fashioned is boring too. I'm interested in girls who are laid back and like seeing the world.

I think the great majority of men want a woman who has some balance in her life.

I have children, am a great cook, worked outside of our home, own my own business, kept our home clean all the time and never once have I stayed in the kitchen 24/7.

There is no reason men and women cannot have values whether they be traditional or not and work, be educated, have children, take care of said children, etc., etc.
Whether you think someone else's values are antiquated or not has no baring on their lives unless you are part of their lives.
If it does not affect you and your partner it really should not be something you worry with or make judgement on when it comes to others.

Like many women, I've been a combination of those throughout the years.

You have three options, I think it would be safe to say that 33% of men would like 1, 2, and 3 respectively.

I don't know any woman who would squarely fit into any of those 3 categories.

can you make this into a poll?

I'm type 2 if anyone cares with a slight graviton to type one. I have an education and career but would love to be suzy home maker. These days not many want a suzy homemaker.

Most men want a balanced woman that will respect them.

haha you got me! I guess I don't hang with really young women anymore since Category 3 referred to women who "want to finish their major and travel". My female friends finished their education many years ago!
